When Nick was abruptly woken up, his left shoulder was numb; the man in front of him was

talking very loudly and shaking a finger in his face. As Nick came back to consiousness he

realized that it was the man in all white from earlier, and he was ordering Nick off of

the boat. Then the man walked off and Nick shook the stars from his eyes.

He found out that his left shoulder was numb because Andria had her head on it and

was fast asleep; worn out from all of the running and working she had done earlier. He

shook his arm and she woke up with a start. "wha?" she asked and then rubbed the side of

her face. There was a red mark from where she had had her cheek against the fabric of his

jacket. "Ow" she complained and noticed the men were walking around ordering people off of

the ship.

"Whats goin' on?" Andria asked trying to easily ease herself off of the cold,

stone floor and onto her feet. Suddenly Dave and Keith were there, Kayla and Ellis right

behind them. "We've gotta go, apperently we've reached shelter" Kayla said from behind

Dave as he reached out a hand to help Andria balance.

They were directed off of the boat and into a bigger town that was north of Lake

Okeechobee. The sidewalk was made of dark maroon red brick with puddles everywhere from

the massive storm that had somewhat passed over. You could clearly see the twinkling stars

in the sky hugging the massive full moon crowded by the wisps of storm clouds that were

still left behind.

The massive clump of people were joined together by others from separate boats and

were lead on a walk to the center of town. The hicks hadn't been out of their small town

much and were eagerly taking in the brand new sights of mysterious wonders and kept

pointing around saying "look at that!" or "We dun have that in our town!"

Nick was leading the way threw the crowd, his white suit helped everyone pin point

him out easily while Andria resisted the urge to grab a hold of his weathered sleeve of

his jacket and hold on with her skinny fingers. The walk was long and tedious, everyone

was already tired, so by the time they reached a ten story hotel in the middle of town,

people were complaining about hurting feet and yawning.

Nick lead Andria and Dave into the main lobby in the center of the hotel like

building as Keith, Ellis and Kayla were seperated by the mass of peoples' disheveled

bodies pushing through the double doors that lead to the cramped lobby. Andria took a

careful notice of the scenery, there were not many girls around, and if there were they

were older than them; there were men in white uniforms everywhere trying to create order

from the chaos. Andria stuck close to Nick as Dave kept a firm grip with his hand on her

left shoulder.

One official looking man walked towards Andria and grasped her bare forearm with a

tense grip, "Come with me miss, you need to be signed in" he said and began pulling her

towards the lobby's check in desk. "Nick!" Andria called to the man who was walking off,

Nick turned and followed after Dave, almost unwillingly. There was a nice looking lady

standing behind the counter with a check board in her hands. She wore the same uniforms

the men did but she kept her long, golden wheat hair fixated in a classic bun to keep it

out of her face. She seemed to be a little older than the rest of them, except for Nick

because she was around the age of twenty seven.

"Hello?" Andria asked as the man let go of her forearm and walked off. The lady

fixed her glasses that had slipped off the edge of her flat nose "Hello, may I have your

name please" she smiled leaving Andria the one who had to answer "hello. Ah'm Andria

Marsh, this is Dave Bentley and the man in the suit is Nick Vigarette" she pointed to each

boy as she read aloud their names. The lady took her sweet time writing down all the names

and looked up to Andria "Go to room five-two" she said finishing making down which room

they were to be placed in, Andria nodded and motioned for the other two boys.

As they turned away from the desk Dave caught sight of Keith and Ellis, who were

trailing Kayla behind them. "'Ey guys!" Dave said, his face lighting up, but then a man in

all white began to push him towards the elevator while Ellis and company disappeared

behind the sea of unfamiliar faces.

"I wonder where they're going" Kayla questioned and Ellis mumbled something that

sounded like "Not very far, I hope" but he wasn't able to finish when Kayla pointed to the

front desk and they approached it. The same lady Andria and her group approached moments

before took down their names

"Ah am Keith Henderson, this her es muh buddy Ellis Dean and the lovely lady next

ta him is Kayla..." Keith stopped for a moment, he hadn't taken the time to remember

Kayla's last name.  Kayla noticed the hesitation in his redneck voice and stepped in for a

moment to help him

"I am Makayla Avery" she said with a smile, the women took down the three names

and gave them a room number

"Please follow the men in white to the elevator, your room is on the third floor

and the number is five three. Thank you and try to have a nice day."

"There is one bed, a coach and the nice. . ." Nick said and tapped the ground with

his bare feet, the ground made a hard hollow sound, "Comfy floor" he added.

"Andria gets first pick," Dave said,

"ah dun wanna choose" she answered back quickly.

"Just choose, before I choose for you" Nick warned and Dave frowned,

"Yew dun get shit," he said.

"fine, ah CHOOSE THE FLOOR!" Andria yelled quickly before they even had the chance

to argue, she motioned deeper in the room and sat on the floor, criss cross

"As long as ah get a pillow ah'm fine anywhere" she said, the two men gave a strange and

confused face. A loud bang abruptly echoed through the walls from the room next to them.

"Ya'll better shut up, Ah wan'ta sleep tonight!" came Keith's voice. Dave rolled his eyes

and yelled back "Yew jus' keep ta yer own business!"

"Well, when yewr yellin' it's hard ta ignore it!" Keith retorted. From the other

room Kayla chuckled and Keith let out an evil smile, "Ah love messin' with Dave, he gets

so grumpy ets funnay." he told her as she laughed.

"I feel bad fer Andria, she's stuck with both of 'em" Ellis said trying to stretch

his back on the stone, cold floor.

"Nick isn't that bad I guess, just as long as he's quiet" Kayla said and Keith rolled his

eyes.

"Dave'll start some shit." He waltzed himself across from the wall and plopped himself

onto the couch, as he sat down he stretched out his long legs

"That feels so much better," he purred, cracking his fingers before talking off his dirty

boots and laying them next to the couch. Keith placed his body over the sofa and laid

back; he turned his hat around and covered his face from the bright light.

"Ah think Ah'm gonna have me a long nap" he yawned in exhaustion, it wasn't easy being a

redneck mechanic who was a kung fu master on the side. Ellis sat up on his elbows and

looked to Keith

"Ah am assuming yew'r sleeping there tonight, am ah right?" he questioned, already knowing

the answer but he wanted to reassure himself just in case Keith had unexpectedly changed

his mind. Keith tilted his head and looked back over at Ellis

"Yeah, this es gonna be muh bed fer tonight. Es that okay with yew?" he asked, Ellis

nodded his head rather quickly, almost tossing off his hat before grabbing it and placing

it in a new position. The room only consisted of one queen size bed, one torn up and

rusted couch and a small bathroom that unbelievably only had a pearl colored sink inside.

The walls themselves were plain also, periwinkle blue that was hardly noticeable if the

white doors hadn't clashed with it. In the center of the room was a tall and broken

touchier lamp that only illuminated enough light to brighten the middle of the room, the

rest of the room was dark and shadowed.  The small, cramped, box room didn't have anything

on the walls except for a small two by four window at the top of the room; that didn't

even look like it was much use. The place itself wasn't five star hotel material, they

were pretty sure CEDA knew that too, which made it a slight annoyance. Ellis moved his

stare from Keith to Kayla; she was slowly drifting off to sleep as she stood near the

door, her eyes becoming heavy and taunting.

"Yew can have ta bed" Ellis insisted as he pointed to the large bed behind him. Kayla

looked over to the bed that was calling her name, figuratively that is, and felt kind of

guilty that Ellis was giving up the bed.

"You should take it, I can sleep on the floor" Ellis didn't listen, he arose from his spot

on the floor and motioned for Kayla, he blissfully grabbed her shoulder and led her to the

bed, sitting her down and grabbing a pillow for himself

"Ah insist. Besides, ah am used to having ta sleep on the floor when Keith and ah go

camping fer hunting ligers!" he playfully laughed.  Kayla gave a soft laugh as she handed

him the cloud felling pillow and the comforter to the bed, leaving her the thin blanket

underneath.
